K-Glow

K-Glow is a beauty app inspired by Korean skincare, focused on glow-driven routines and mindful self-care.

Year :

2026

Industry :

Korean Beauty

Project Duration :

2 weeks

Problem :

Korean beauty routines are known for their effectiveness, but they can feel complex and overwhelming—especially for users unfamiliar with multi-step skincare systems. Many beauty apps focus heavily on product promotion without helping users understand what actually works for their skin type, concerns, and daily lifestyle.

Solution :

I designed K-Glow as a personalized Korean beauty app that simplifies skincare through guided routines and clear product insights. The app focuses on skin-type assessment, routine building, and curated product recommendations presented in a clean, elegant interface. Soft visuals, clear hierarchy, and educational touchpoints help users feel confident and informed while building a skincare routine that fits their needs.

Challenge :

A key challenge was reducing the complexity of K-beauty routines without losing their value or authenticity. Designing an experience that feels educational but not overwhelming required careful content structuring and visual restraint. Another challenge was balancing inspiration and usability—ensuring the app felt aspirational while remaining practical and easy to navigate.

Summary :

This K-Glow case study highlights my ability to design lifestyle-focused, personalized digital experiences. By combining education, personalization, and a refined visual language, K-Glow helps users approach Korean skincare with confidence and clarity. The project demonstrates my strengths in beauty-tech UX, information design, and creating calm, user-friendly mobile experiences.
