Tinder is one of the most popular dating apps, but users often face friction with overwhelming options, repetitive swiping, and unclear navigation. Many users struggle to find meaningful connections efficiently, and engagement can decline due to repetitive interactions and limited personalization.
Solution :
I redesigned the Tinder app to improve usability, personalization, and engagement. The redesign focuses on cleaner navigation, more intuitive swipe gestures, and clear content hierarchy. Personalized suggestions, smarter matching cues, and engaging micro-interactions help users connect more meaningfully while keeping the app familiar and fun.
Challenge :
A key challenge was redesigning a highly familiar interface without alienating long-time users. Balancing simplicity with rich features, like messaging and discovery tools, required careful prioritization. Another challenge was enhancing personalization while ensuring privacy and avoiding information overload.
